Tumbarumba Shire Council is pleased to be able to offer residents of the Shire a wide range of community services and agencies. Council provides assistance to a number of community projects and dedicated community organisations directly and indirectly. Council supports community services such as aged & disabled services, cemeteries, libraries, emergency services, sport & leisure and everyday needs of the community. Some of the services provided to you by Council staff on behalf of other agencies include: Centrelink AgencyThe Centrelink Agency is located at the Rural Transaction Centre at 10 Bridge Street, Tumbarumba. Open Monday, 9.00am to 1.00pm, Wednesday 1.00pm am to 5.00pm,Thursday 9.00am to 1.00pm. Click on this link for further information. TumbooshTumboosh offers Before and After School Care, and is located at the Tumbarumba Basketball Stadium. Tumboosh also runs Vacation Care during school holidays. Click on this link for further information. PugglesPuggles Mobile van offers Long Day Care to rural and isolated communities for children aged six weeks to school age. Click on this link for further information. Council Grants Program In 2003, Tumbarumba Shire Council announced an annual grants program for local tourism and community and cultural projects. These funds are for use by community-based organisations to assist them in developing community and tourism-oriented assets and to provide services not available or funded through Federal or State sources. The grants programs aim to help community, cultural and tourism groups provide a wide range of services throughout the whole of the municipal district as well as the development of community infrastructure and events, festivals and activities.
